I was awarded one Bronze and one Silver award in the 39th Annual Telly Awards. I entered my work into the National (not local) division of the awards just to see how my locally produced work stacked up against the bigger players. I entered three pieces, two won.
My TV segment, “Underwater Cleanup,” took a Bronze Telly Award in the Nature/Wildlife category. Other winners included Jeff Corwin’s Ocean Trek series. You can watch it here:
My TV segment, “Surfers for Autism,” won a Silver Telly Award in the Cause Marketing category. There was only one other Silver award winner in my category, the anti-smoking “Truth” commercial campaign produced by The Daily Show and Viacom.
